Our Services
We offer academic testing for children and adults to help determine current abilities in reading, writing and math domains. Our one-on-one testing uses standardized, well-established measures that can help inform your next steps for advocacy, intervention, or further assessment. Testing areas can also be customized, based on specific areas of academic concern. You receive a report of your child's skill level in specific academic areas relative to peers, and recommendations for next steps. Testing is conducted one-on-one in the office. Testing typically takes 60-90 minutes. Within one week from testing, you receive a written report and we will contact you by phone to discuss results.

The reading screening is designed to sample foundational reading skills and determine if someone is at risk for developing a reading disorder such as dyslexia. Our screener can be administered to ages 5-49. We use well-established and valid measures administered one-on-one, offering better insight than screenings done at most schools. It generally takes about 20 minutes, and can be done in office or virtually via video-conferencing. You receive a brief report with 24 hours.
Results of the screening provide a snapshot of foundational reading skills and are intended to help guide decisions about further assessment, intervention or monitoring. As this is a brief assessment, this screening cannot provide a diagnosis of dyslexia on it's own. Our screening report can also aid parents when pursuing extra help or seeking further testing at school.

Our reading and writing screening is designed to identify risk factors associated with reading and writing disorders, including risk for dyslexia and dysgraphia. Our screener can be administered to age 5-24. We use well-established and valid measures administered one-on-one, offering better insight into skills than screenings done at most schools. Due to the writing component of this screening, these appointments are only available in person (virtual appointments are not available). You receive a brief report in 24 hours after testing.
Results provide a snapshot of reading and writing skills, and are intended to help guide decisions about further assessment, intervention or monitoring. As this is a brief assessment, this screening cannot provide a diagnosis of dyslexia or dysgraphia on it's own. Our screening report can also aid parents when pursuing extra help or seeking further testing at school.

Comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for children, teens and adults to diagnose various learning differences including:

Specific Learning Disorders in:
- Reading / dyslexia
- Written Expression / dysgraphia
- Mathematics / dyscalculia

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Intellectual Developmental Disorder / Cognitive Disability

A diagnostic evaluation is customized based on individual needs to address one or more suspected conditions.
These evaluations involve gathering information in multiple ways, such as through parent or client interview, review of educational and medical records, clinical observations, face-to-face testing, and questionnaires or interviews with client, teachers and/or family.

We currently accept two insurance plans which may cover portions of the evaluation: CareSource Medicaid and Medical Mutual of Ohio. A doctor's referral is required. Please call your insurance to verify coverage. For those with other insurance, we also offer private pay, with a 6-month payment plan option available. We can provide you documentation via a Superbill, upon request.
The typical process for a diagnostic evaluation of learning concerns involves:

1st appointment - Intake appointment held with the client and parent/guardian if the client is a minor. This appointment is to discuss your concerns, identify goals for the process, and discuss developmental history. This appointment can be a video visit or in-person.

2nd & 3rd appointment - face-to-face testing sessions with the client. Sessions are typically 2-3 hours with breaks, and adapted based on client needs. Testing appointments are typically scheduled for 9:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM on weekdays.

4th appointment - Approximately 2 weeks after your last testing appointment, a feedback meeting is held to review all results, any diagnoses, and recommendations for school, home and/or work. A comprehensive written report is also provided.
We offer IQ testing for children, teens and adults. Testing can be helpful to better understand learning strengths and needs, and help aid decisions for meeting educational needs. Testing is conducted one-on-one in office and takes about 90 minutes. You receive a written report of results in 1-2 business days.

We use a nationally normed IQ test approved by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for Superior Cognitive gifted identification, so schools can easily use results to determine gifted identification. Our individually-administered IQ evaluation offers more in-depth and valid information than the group testing offered in many schools, and can aid families seeking a second opinion.
We offer expert review and guidance on your child's Evaluation Team Report (ETR) & Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents.

We start with an initial phone consultation and review of your child's documents. 1-2 weeks after documents are received, we meet to share feedback and recommendations that help clarify your child's supports and inform advocacy. A written consultation report is also provided.
Additional consultation for other records (504s, FBAs/BIPs, etc.) and school meeting support is also available for an hourly fee.
